CAR MAGNET APPLICATION
As turtle awareness magnets are most effective through turtle season, April to October, it is recommended that you remove your turtle car magnet from your vehicle for the winter and store it where it can lay flat. In the spring, re-install your car magnet in April.
It is recommended that you apply your car magnet to a clean and dry vehicle for the best possible application.
Before applying a car magnet to your vehicle, please use a "dry" soft cloth to wipe the front and back of the magnet to remove any tiny bits that may be present from the printing and cutting process.
Otherwise, use a soft "wet" cloth to clean the location on the vehicle to which you intend to apply the car magnet, followed by a soft "dry" cloth to dry the location. Using only water to clean the location is the best choice. Avoid using chemical products that may leave an invisible residue on the surface.
CARE
If you are planning to drive your vehicle through an automatic car wash, you should temporarily "remove" the car magnet so the cleaning apparatus does not fetch the car magnet off the vehicle.
The magnet should be removed at regular intervals to guard against moisture and dirt buildup between it and the metal surface of your vehicle. Clean the magnet and metal surfaces with mild detergent; wipe them with a soft cloth or air dry.
Suppose your custom magnet leaves a residue when removed. In that case, it is recommended that you mix a gentle dish soap in hot water, apply it to the surface, and then carefully and slowly remove the residue with a plastic card or something similar that will not scratch your vehicle.
Thank you for helping raise awareness and protecting the wildlife with which we share the roads!

Car Magnets Sometimes Stick to Paint
Car magnets are not just an affordable but also an effective way to promote your business or show support for a cause. However, if not properly maintained, they can occasionally stick to your vehicle's paint and become difficult to remove. In this post, we'll explain why car magnets can adhere to paint over time and offer practical tips to prevent this, helping keep your vehicle's finish in excellent shape.
Why Car Magnets Stick to Paint
Several factors can cause car magnets to cling more firmly to your vehicle's paint, including:
Dirt and debris: Dust and particles can collect between the magnet and the car's surface, creating extra friction and making it harder to remove.
Moisture: Trapped moisture can bond the magnet and the paint, increasing adhesion.
Magnet strength: High-strength magnets exert more force on the paint, raising the likelihood of sticking.
Paint quality: Damaged or low-quality paint is more susceptible, as exposed metal surfaces can create stronger magnet bonds.
How to Prevent Car Magnets from Sticking to Paint:
- To keep your car magnets from sticking, follow these easy maintenance tips:
- Choose a high-quality magnet with a smooth backing to minimize paint scratches.
- Check the car's paint for damage and repair as needed before applying a magnet.
- Clean and dry both the magnet and vehicle surface before applying a magnet.
- Regularly clean the magnet and vehicle to remove dirt and moisture.
- Remove magnets in extreme weather (like heavy rain or snow) to avoid moisture buildup.
Excessive moisture can lead to rust and paint damage, making the magnet more difficult to remove and potentially causing permanent damage to your vehicle's paint.
Periodically reposition the magnet to prevent it from adhering too firmly to the paint.
Consider alternatives like window decals or car wraps in humid or wet environments to reduce magnet-related paint risks.
How To Remove A Car Magnet That Has Stuck To A Vehicle
First off, don't panic! With care and patience, the magnet can be removed without damaging the paint surface. It the magnet appears partially suck to your vehicle peel off any parts that will come away with ease.
Heating the rest of the car magnet that is adhering to your vehicle with a hairdryer on medium setting will weaken the bond between the vehicle's body and the magnet. The magnet will soften and become pliable to the point that you can peel it off in pieces or its entirety. DO NOT USE A HEAT GUN). DO NOT attempt to remove a car magnet that is sticking to your vehicle with solvents or sharp implements. See attached photos.
Conclusion:
Car magnets are an excellent advertising option, but regular care prevents them from sticking to your paint as outlined. With these tips, you can enjoy the benefits of car magnets while keeping your vehicle's finish pristine—so go ahead and promote your business or cause without worry!

What can you do with old magnets?
Unfortunately, magnetic products are not recyclable at this time, but if taken care of, they can be used for many years. After that, they can be repurposed for artistic endeavors, office use, or fun. In almost every household, the refrigerator tends to be command central. It acts as a bulletin board for current events, important news, flyers, shopping lists, and a personal gallery of kids' drawings and photos. Button-type magnets can be used as is, and magnetic products can be cut and put to new use. Fridge magnets can be freshened up with a new design. Clips can be glued to button magnets to hold papers or coupons you want to keep handy. Get creative, reuse, repurpose, and upcycle as much as possible to keep items out of the landfill.
