Bake Sale Notes

Home Again will be hosting their annual bake sale with all proceeds going to support Home Again's rescue animals. Everybody loves homemade baked goods and we have been told there will be plenty of delicious goodies available to purchase. Show your support on the day for "Home Again" and the dedicated efforts they put into finding forever homes for so many cats and dogs. Truly an organization that touches our hearts with all they do.

Do you enjoy baking or know someone that does and would be interested in donating some baked goods (for humans or pets to the Home Again Bake Sale? If so, baked goods can be dropped off at 9.am. on Saturday, April 12th at The Village Playhouse.., Thank you!

Think Turtle Notes

Think Turtle will be set up on the day to talk with people about helping turtles. We will have Watch 4 Turtles signs, car magnets, t-shirts and other items available for sale to help raise awareness and support turtle conservation.

Think Turtle Merchandise

Think Turtle sets up at public events with Watch 4 Turtles signs, car magnets, bumper stickers, turtle t-shirts, and other turtle-related merchandise. Most of the items we stock are to help raise awareness, some items are for fun and are turtley awesome like our new turtle earrings available in 6 colors, at $5 a pair. All sales play a crucial role in supporting the Think Turtle Conservation Initiative's education and species recovery efforts we engage in. Every sale makes a significant diffference in the quest to help turtles. 

Crafting 4 Turtles

There will also be a fantastic selection of 'Crafting 4 Turtles' handcrafted items by talented artists and artisans in the community and neighboring regions. These items include crocheted and knitted turtles, festive cards, home decor, and more inspired by turtles. Each item is a unique piece of art, lovingly crafted to celebrate the beauty and importance of turtles. All proceeds from the Crafting 4 Turtle item sales go towards treating and caring for injured turtles admitted to the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre, home of Ontario's turtle hospital, this turtle season.

We will of course be available to answer turtle questions and chat with people about the ways we can all help the Ontario Turtles and the resources available to do so.

BANCROFT CRUSADERS YARD SALE

Yard Sale Notes 

The yard sale will include furniture, books, kitchenware, toys, tools, knick-knacks, glassware, dishes, art, and many more items. All proceeds from the Bancroft Crusaders yard sale go toward Cancer research, education, prevention advocacy, and patient services.

The Bancroft Crusaders have kindly allowed Think turtle to set up at this event with a selection of over 500 DVDs to choose from. There are lots of great titles! There are everything from feel-good movies to tearjerkers, kids' movies, period piece dramas, comedies, action, animated, etc. There are some box sets as well. Stock up on DVD favorites!

The DVDs for the yard sale will be priced at $2 each.

$1 from every DVD sale will be donated to the Bancroft Crusaders, Relay For Life, and the Canadian Cancer Society.

$1 from every DVD sale will go towards helping the turtles.

Note: If anyone in the Bancroft area has gently used DVDs they are looking to pass along for a good cause, we would be most thankful for such a contribution to this yard sale and future sales.
