Join us in Riverside Park, Bancroft, on Tuesday, July 1, for a day that promises all the good vibes of summer, celebration, and community spirit.
We're excited to be part of not just one but two fantastic events: the Bancroft Farmers' Market in the morning and the Town of Bancroft's Canada Day Celebration in the afternoon. It's all happening in the same beautiful park along Station Street, just behind the post office, and we'd love to see you there.
Start your day at the Farmers' Market from 9 to 1, where you can browse local produce, homemade goodies, and handcrafted treasures. While you're there, be sure to stop by the Think Turtle booth. We're always happy to catch up, hear your turtle stories, answer questions, and share what we've been up to in the field. It's also a great time to learn more about how you can help Ontario's turtles and pick up free resources that support turtle conservation efforts across the province.
Stick around because when the clock strikes 1, the Canada Day Celebration begins with the opening ceremony and land acknowledgment. The Town of Bancroft is pulling out all the stops to mark Canada's 158th birthday with live music, family-friendly activities, community booths, shopping, great food, and a whole lot of festive fun. The Think Turtle booth will remain open, and our mascot, Bailey, will make an appearance. Say hello, grab a photo, and maybe even a high five.
Think Turtle Merchandise
We'll also have a great selection of turtle-themed merchandise available. Whether you pick up a 'Watch 4 Turtles' car magnet or one of our popular t-shirts, your purchase helps fund our education and turtle recovery initiatives. And don't miss the beautiful 'Crafting 4 Turtles' items made by local artists. Every dollar raised from these handmade pieces supports the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre, home of Ontario's only turtle hospital.
Whether you're a long-time supporter or someone curious to learn more, we look forward to connecting with you. It's going to be a day filled with community spirit, meaningful conversations, and a few surprises. And as always, please be extra cautious on the roads. Our turtle friends are out and about, too, and they need our help to stay safe.
Thanks for your continued support. We'll see you on July 1 in Riverside Park!

Take Flight This Summer at Bancroft's Fly-In Breakfast & Vendor Market
Clear your calendar for Sunday, July 13, 2025, because the Bancroft Community Airport is the place to be. From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the runway won't be the only thing buzzing. Expect a full day of planes, pancakes, and people—plus BBQ, antique vehicles, sightseeing flights, face painting, and music courtesy of DJ John Hales.
And if Mother Nature decides to rain on the runway? Not to worry—Sunday, July 20, is the rain date.
A High-Flying Tradition
Brought to life by COPA Flight 119 and the Bancroft Flying Club, this annual event is a favorite for aviation fans and curious onlookers alike. There's nothing quite like the thrill of watching aircraft fly in throughout the day, including the occasional amphibious plane and chatting with the pilots who fly them.
This year's vendor market will be full of local flavor, with artists and community groups offering a wide range of items, from handmade treasures to helpful information. Whether you're looking for a one-of-a-kind gift or want to engage in a good conversation with someone who knows their way around a potter's wheel or a conservation plan, you'll find it here.
Turtles, Tables & Takeoffs
In between bites and fly-bys, be sure to stop by the Think Turtle Conservation Initiative table. They'll be there sharing tips on how to help our shelled neighbors, along with a selection of turtle-themed merchandise to support their ongoing work. It's the perfect place to learn a little while you shop or just pick up a turtle car magnet to help raise awareness during your travels.
Come Be Part of It
Whether you're an aviation aficionado, a lover of local art, or simply in search of a fun-filled day with family and friends, the Fly-In Breakfast & Vendor Market has something for everyone. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with the community, enjoy delicious food, and perhaps even take to the skies for a scenic flight over the picturesque Bancroft area.
